Learning to play Guitar, like anything else, takes practice, patience, and a little time. It is a talent that will give you and others around you enjoyment for the rest of your life. The best advice I have for anyone is to take it slow and learn it well, don't be critical of yourself, share your progress with others, they will appreciate it as much as you and enjoy every step of what you learn.
One important thing is to keep inspired. Listen to guitarists on radio, TV, go to live performances, even just the coffee house, meet others with your same interests. It will keep you from getting discouraged or bored. Fool around with the guitar between lessons and experiment with it. You may come up with something very interesting.

Best of luck on your journey,

Rick Mollindo
